  29. Make sure Columbia University's C-Kermit product is on both ends. Open
  30. c-kermit (kermit), telnet from within c-kermit to your destination,
  31. cd to the directory where you want to "get" or "send" files, start
  32. c-kermit on the remote end and use the commands "get somefile" or
  33. "send somefile" to transfer. To learn more about kermit see:

  43. Others will say to not use telnet. IIRC, there is also a secure
  44. version of C-Kermit available from the site that can use encryption,
  45. etc. Frank? Are you reading this?

  47. You may already have c-kermit on your Linux box. Try typing "kermit"
  48. at a CLI (don't type the quotation marks).
